Here are photos of my workshop at the CMW Miniatures Workshops weekend in Eye, Peterborough 14th-16th October 2016.
More details regarding the weekend are on our website: http://www.cmwminiaturesworkshops.co.uk/
You can also find us on Facebook. Any questions? Email me: [email protected]
Bookings can be made from the website when the workshops are published in February. If you aren't already on it, email me and I will add you to our mailing list so you will be informed the day the bookings can start.
There will be other workshops to choose from at the weekend, this is just mine :0)
This is a two day workshop, Saturday and Sunday.
There are two different projects to choose from, made from the same basic structure.
Learn how to use Creative Paperclay in several ways with a choice of two completely different projects which really show how versatile it is, especially when you start off with virtually the same design. Believe it or not, they are even painted with the same paints, just in a different order.
In this instance both projects are in 1/12 scale although you can use paperclay in 1/24 and even 1/48.
The Dragon’s Den can be made into a wizard’s room, Tudor setting or anything else you can think of that would be set in a castle or dungeon. See the second photo for ideas, most of the accessories were borrowed from other projects although I sculpted the dragon and wizard especially for this one.
Making an Entrance is an ideal project if you like making flowers. The sunny courtyard and planters will show them off beautifully. See the second photo to see what it looks like filled with flowers and other accessories.
The projects WILL NOT BE FINISHED during the class as the paperclay won’t be dry enough to paint. However, you will have painted a sample that I made earlier for you, so you will have that to refer to.
Everything in the first two photos is included and you will make it all yourself, although perhaps not all of it at the class depending on how quickly you work. There will be instructions to take home with you.
Students will learn all the techniques for both projects, no matter which one they make in the class.
Can’t decide which one to do? I can make you a kit for the second one to make at home.
The class also includes a specialist paperclay tool kit which will be yours to keep. If you are a previous student of mine and already have your own paperclay tool kit to bring, a £20 discount will apply.
